It's an Old English term for "mermaid" (pronounced meer-wife), and it is certainly beautiful as the things of fairy tales. We stumbled upon this new jewelry line while swooning over a fully-buttoned plaid and layered collar necklace as worn by Wilmington, NC's own Style Girl Jess James. And just like that, it was a match made in social media heaven. A few e-mails, a short wait, and a snail mail package later... And ta-da! Eat your heart out!
